Symptoms and Types of Hair Loss

You may experience hair loss in many forms and patterns. Some types of hair loss are temporary, while others are permanent; some come on suddenly (usually causing bald patches), while others come gradually (which may cause hair thinning). Some can also lead to scarring, though this isn’t always the case. Proper evaluation of hair loss is critical to ensure that the most effective hair loss treatment is selected. The following are some common types of hair loss:

Hereditary hair loss: It is the most common form of hair loss, which usually comes on gradually and can be successfully treated in most cases. It mainly includes male and female-pattern hair loss.

TE hair loss (Telogen Effluvium): This is the second most common type of hair loss. TE (temporary and reversible hair loss) often appears as diffuse hair shedding. Any sudden physical, emotional change, or shock could cause TE.

Patchy hair loss: also known as alopecia areata (AA), which is an autoimmune disease. It can be quite sudden and often appear as circular or patchy bald spots on the scalp. For some, AA can spread to any part of body.

Traction hair loss: also known as traction alopecia. This may be caused by wearing pigtails, cornrows or braids, or using tight hair rollers, tight hat bands, etc. It is curable if there is no permanent damage to the follicles.

Hair Loss Treatment

Hair loss and thinning hair does not always require treatment; through, when it does, it is best to treat as early as possible for best results. The following are some common procedures that can help prevent hair loss, or encourage hair re-growth. These treatments include: over-the-counter and prescription medications, surgery(hair transplants and scalp reduction), LLLT(low-level laser therapy), Mesotherapy, Kenallog injections, etc.

Kenallog Hair Loss Treatment is a cortisone steroid injection for Alopecia; a common hair loss condition usually affecting the scalp, beard, or brows. Kenallog injection therapy works by preventing white blood cells from attacking the hair follicles, to help speed up hair re-growth. Because the affected hair follicles are still functional, and are awaiting the appropriate signal to jumpstart their recovery process, with Alopecia, hair re-growth – as well as the restoration of colour and texture – is possible.

Mesotherapy Hair Loss Treatment is a non-invasive injection technique of nutrients to the scalp. As hair loss and thinning hair can result from a lack of these nutrients, by injecting the scalp with a boost of vitamins and enzymes, Mesotherapy can help treat hair loss, improve hair quality, and prompt new hair growth. In addition, it can also help with thinning hair, improve blood circulation and balance hormones in the hair follicles themselves.

Laser Hair Loss Treatment, also called laser hair therapy, has been used for decades in Europe and Japan. In recent years, it has become very popular in North America, since the first low-level laser was cleared by the FDA as a treatment for male-pattern hair loss in 2007; in addition to being approved to treat female-pattern hair loss as well, in 2012. For optimal results, we recommend combining our mesotherapy treatment with our laser therapy.

What are the Hair Loss Treatment procedures like?
Mesotherapy Hair Loss Treatment: This non-invasive treatment uses a small needle attached to a mechanical gun, to deliver a mix of plant extracts, hormones, vitamins, enzymes, peptides, minerals, and hyaluronic and amino acids directly into the skin.

Kenallog Hair Loss Treatment: Kenallog injection therapy works by preventing white blood cells from attacking the hair follicles, to help speed up hair re-growth. This treatment involves cortisone steroid injections. The number of injections needed will depend on the size of the area being treated.

Laser Hair Loss Treatment: is a painless procedure with no downtime! The client will sit comfortably underneath a light panel, while it gently delivers red light to the scalp. Each session lasts around 20 minutes. Multiple sessions are recommended for optimal results.
