At Q Esthetics Laser Clinic, we use the Palomar Lux1064+™ Laser hand-piece in conjunction with the LuxG IPL hand-piece to remove unwanted spider veins.

The LuxG hand-piece emits light in two groups of the spectrum to target vascular lesions. Palomar's AccuSpectrum technology can filter out undesired light between the wavelength bands, thus avoiding unnecessary heat to the epidermis. Clinical studies have proven that the LuxG hand-piece can achieve similar or even better results than the “gold standard” lasers in superficial veins removal.

For deep vein removal, the Palomar Lux1064+™ Nd:YAG Laser Hand-piece delivers concentrated light at a 1064nm wavelength, which is ideal for targeting a variety of deep veins. The light pulses heat the blood within the veins. The heat of the blood affects the vessel lining and blood flow, which causes the vein to constrict and ultimately fade from view. Skin is unaffected by the heat and also protected by the Advanced Contact Cooling™ system.

The Palomar Lux1064+™ Laser is one of the best lasers available to remove spider veins because it is able to remove veins as large as 4 mm in diameter and penetrate deeper beneath the skin surface where the communicating veins reside. This is proven to diminish spider veins permanently.

What does laser spider vein removal treatment feel like?

A highly trained medical aesthetician or laser technician will move the hand-piece over your skin, following the length of the vein while applying the laser on the targeted area. You may feel a mild sensation on the skin while the hand-piece is being pulsed.

Is laser spider vein removal safe?

The laser spider vein treatments are skin-safe and comfortable. Your Q Esthetics Laser Clinic consultant will go over the risks and benefits of the treatment with you during your complimentary consultation. The hand-piece delivers its energy in one smooth and gentle pulse to protect the skin from a sharp rise in temperature.

What should I expect after laser spider vein removal?

Immediately after the laser spider vein removal, you may experience any of these possible outcomes:

• The vessel disappears
• The vessel darkens
• The vessel shrinks

Within a few hours following the laser spider vein removal procedure the bulging appearance of spider veins will disappear. The surrounding skin may turn pink or become slightly swollen for up to 24 hours. The treated vessels may eventually disappear in 4 to 6 weeks. Usually multiple treatments are necessary to achieve full clearance of facial veins or leg veins. Additional spider vein removal treatments should be scheduled 8 to 12 weeks apart.
